Kites tickets high in Calcutta, but Hrithik fans willing to pay

Never before a movie star has caught the imagination of his fans as Hrithik Roshan is getting the attention in the city. Ticket prices of the leading Bollywood star have soon- to- be- released Kites have skyrocketed in the multiplexes of the city. For the first time in past seven years, after the plexes were first set up, it is first such steep hike in the ticket prices. But the fans have no complains and willing to fork out the money.

South City, a multiplex in Calcutta, has priced its plush gold class audi at Rs 550, which is the highest price hike. Silver class tickets are hiked to Rs 310. Still, longing for a real biggie from Bollywood, the city fans do not mind digging deep into their pocket. Thus, touted as the biggest release of the season, the movie goers are bound to pay more than Rs 300 for Kites.

Similar hikes in the ticket prices have also been reported from other non-multiplex cinemas.

The city is now all set to watch a film that depicts romance between Hrithik Roshan and a Latin woman Barbara. The city people have already paid Rs 290 for a 3 Idiots ticket. So the multiplexes do not see any decline in the enthusiasm of the movie goers for a biggie like Kites.
